As you will soon discover there are plenty of different types of portable games consoles a person can choose from which they can then play their most favored video games on. Although you have the Nintendo DS and the Gameboy in this article we will be taking a look at just what the Sony PSP can offer you, and which seems to be one of the more popular of the portable games consoles now available.
One of the biggest problems that many people face when playing any kind of portable games console is how long the battery will last before it either needs replacing or recharging. However the PSP even though it comes with one of the most powerful operating systems to be found in a portable games console Sony have designed their batteries to live that little bit longer. The great thing about this particular console is that you can still play all your games even whilst the batteries are recharging.
As for the time it takes for the batteries to charge on average it will take around 2 hours before the batteries of the PSP have become fully charged once more. But another advantage to being able to play with this console whilst the batteries are being charged is that even when the batteries have been completely drained of power as soon as you plug it into a mains and begin recharging them you can play games on it once more.
Another great feature of the PSP is that it allows you MP3 music on it. Although it comes with a good set of headphones when listening to music on your PSP you may prefer to get a good set of audio ones to use with it instead. A lot people who already have PSP’s now not only use theirs to play all their favorite video games on but listen to their favorite music tracks as well.
As with the Nintendo DS the Sony PSP has a wireless facility. This then means that if you want you and your friend or friends can be matched up against each other without having to be sat right next to each other. Plus another major advantage to the PSP and its wireless feature is that up to 8 players at anyone time can be connected to each other and playing the same game.
One of the biggest problems to be faced by many gamers who use portable consoles is that amount of time it takes for theirs to either boot up or upload the game that they want to play. However this is where the Sony PSP differs from other games consoles including the Nintendo DS is that it comes with a “sleep mode” facility. As soon as you hit the button which turns on this feature the PSP will stop and will only recommence booting up or uploading the game from the point when it was stopped when the button has been pressed again.
As long as you have the right memory stick then you are quite capable of playing MP4 formatted movies on your PSP. But in order to do this you need some software which enables you to convert the movies over to the right format. But although you can get some for free it is better if you purchase your converter to ensure that you don’t down load unwanted files etc.
As you can see where the PSP is concerned compared to many other types of video games console there are major advantages to be had from owning one. Plus as with any kind of product made by Sony you are assured that you will be provided with superb customer support and technical support at all times.
